La Voce del Sassello, published by the Amici del Sassello, was born from an idea by Gianpaolo Dabove and Salvatore Serrano who, together with the printer Manni, launched in the summer of 1996 a periodical that was first published every four months and then every two months.
If at the beginning it only dealt with news concerning Sassello, since 2000 it has expanded quite extensively to the hinterland of eastern Savona.
A decidedly active and extensive area, made up of villages with low population density and a very elderly population, whose main activities are in the confectionery sector with amaretti factories, tourism (many second homes), and timber exploitation from the forests, which are among the most abundant at the national level.
La Voce, thanks to the many holidaymakers who visit this hinterland, is distributed in several national locations through the postal subscription service (the subscription cost for six annual issues is 10 euros, postal account 10112175 in the name of Amici del Sassello via dei Perrando 33 17046 Sassello), and reaches all the newsstands in the surrounding villages.
Its proceeds are used for the management of Palazzo Perrando, home to the Museum and the Library.
Per issue 2 euros (back issues double)
Annual subscription 10 (ten) euros to be paid to postal current account 10112175 Associazione Amici del Sassello via dei Perrando 33 17046 Sassello (Sv)
